Shows You Should Be Watching: GIRLS

I did not quite know what to expect when I sat down to watch my first episode of HBO's newest show last season, Girls.  I sat down to watch it "On Demand" and watched the rest of the episodes available that day.

This pretty much sums up my reaction:

Watching HBO's "Girls" and trying to figure out how I feel about it...

The show is brilliant.  Lena Dunham is the creator, writer, and star.  You may have heard of her recently when Howard Stern referred to her as a "little fat girl"- when asked about this on David Letterman, she laughed it off.  She is incredibly talented, and the show- while it does have some painfully awkward sex scenes- is smart, well-written, and most importantly hilarious.

I found this interesting- Allison Williams is the daughter of Brian Williams (of NBC Nightly News) and he is one of the show's biggest fans.  Lena Dunham has said in interviews that he is frequently on set when they film.  AWKWARD.  But, hey, I guess it proves the show is that great.
