Say Something.

I typically don't love anything that has words on it, witty saying, etc.  However, Wildfox Couture is the exception.  I am obsessed with the brand.  They have pretty much mastered the sexy "I just rolled out of bed" look.  And the "words" they use on their clothing... I pretty much love.  Not to mention, I always die over their lookbooks... a recent one was inspired by the movie Clueless- I'm sure you can guess which photos those are... (knee-highs... plaid skirts!)

The Devil in the Junior League

JUST finished this book and I am obsessed. Basically, I need a sequel.... something... anything!

I came across it in a stack of what I call "guilty (and quick) reads" in my roommate's library.  I was

this close to putting it down after the first 2 chapters or so when it took an unsuspected turn.  

I don't want to divulge too much information because that will just take away from your reading

experience.  NO it is not all about the Junior League.  (It does, however, give good insight into

Southern Belle ways- how wonderful, yet how ridiculous some of the rules/customs/traditions can be!)

The main character proved to be quite dynamic- not what I expected at all.  And let me add that me favorite part of the read was a certain male character I totally fell in love with. 

UGH. Please let there be a sequel.

P.S... I just googled the book to find more info on it (and to see how much of it was based on a true

story) and it looks like a movie is in the works.  Read it before the movie comes out!

Chic Hors d'Oeuvres

Mini Caprese Salad Bites

LOVE this recipe from JoCooks.com! So perfect for a party, shower, etc... Not only is it delicious (who doesn't love a caprese salad?!), the presentation is perfection.

Prep Time:  10 Mins         Cook Time:  10 Mins            Yield:  4 Servings

Ingredients:

• 2 cups mini bocconcini pieces
• 2 cups cherry tomatoes
• a bunch of fresh basil
• salt and pepper to taste
• 1 cup balsamic vinegar
• toothpics

Instructions:

1. In a small skillet add the balsamic vinegar and cook over medium heat until it reduced to less than half and thickened. Make sure you stir occasionally. It should only take about 5 to 10 minutes, depending on the amount you're reducing.
2. Take a toothpick and on it stick a bocconcini, a basil leaf and a cherry tomato. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
3. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Using a teaspoon drizzle some of the balsamic reduction onto each appetizer.

The Best Dry Shampoo

I've tried several out there... Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo is my favorite for a few reasons...

Numero Uno- it has a pointy tip. It is a powder, so this tip allows you to squeeze out the product into your roots only.

Number 2- it absorbs all visible oil!

Number 3- it is also available in a small travel size that you can keep in your purse.

The only downfall is that it has kind of a medicine-like smell... but whatever... it works!  And for someone who hates to wash their hair... I need this stuff!
